Tweeddogs Terms and Conditions

To ensure the safety and health of all animals, customers and staff at TweedDogs® Dog Day Care, we require all clients to comply with the following Terms & Conditions.

SEX: It is preferred that all dogs are spayed or neutered however TweedDogs will never insist this as part of day care admission as we are aware that in some instances spaying/neutering is not in the best interests of some dogs. We do however wish owners to be aware that if bitches are not spayed they will be required to be kept at home during each season. Entire dogs will be accepted as long as there are no incidents of sexual mounting or other behavioural issues.

VACCINATIONS: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations or titre test results. Owners must submit written verification that their dogs have current vaccinations, including kennel cough. It is your responsibility to provide on-going verification of current vaccinations and proof of vaccination must be provided annually as requested by TweedDogs management.

HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Owners will need to certify that their dogs are in good health and are free from any condition that could potentially jeopardise other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted. Owners should also have their dogs worm and tick treated regularly under veterinary guidance.

DOG LEADS/LEASHES: All dogs will be provided with a TweedDogs lead when collected from owner or owners home for the duration of the day care. Owners using the pick-up/drop off zone will hand their dog over to the TweedDogs member of staff and only once the dog is safely and securely transported to the van cage will the owners lead be handed back to the owners.

BEHAVIOUR: All dogs will be assessed during the TweedDogs® Dog Day Care Trial Day prior to acceptance. All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners will need to certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behaviour towards any person or any other dog(s). Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and that their safety and health is our main priority.

AGE: Any aged dog over 20 weeks old will be admitted to TweedDogs® Dog Day Care facilities as long as the dog meets the Centre’s assessment criteria (Trial Day).

ENROLLMENT: All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved enrolment form on file and a signed TweedDogs® Terms & Conditions and Agreement form on file. If your dog has been out of day care for two months or more, re-assessment will be necessary.

FEES:  Payment can be made by cash, cheque, standing order or direct banking. However, cash or cheque will be accepted but only at the start of each day. Cheques made payable to “TweedDogs”. Standing order/direct banking payments to be made either at the beginning or end of each week. TweedDogs bank details are:- Sort code 83-25-12 Account Number 00115759. HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday-Friday from 7.30am-4.30pm. Drop off and pick up any time during these hours. The Centre hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

CANCELLATION OF SERVICE: If severe weather conditions prevents the safe transportation of dogs, TweedDogs® reserves the right to contact the owner and cancel the day’s booking (or return dogs home earlier if weather deteriorates through daytime trading hours).

AGREEMENT FORM

I request that my dog(s) be accepted into the TweedDogs® Dog Day Care (the ‘Facility’). In accepting my dog(s) into the programme, I acknowledge that the Facility will be relying on my understanding and agreement with the provisions of this Agreement. I understand and agree that:

  • Every dog reacts differently and animals, by nature, are unpredictable and, therefore, present a certain level of risk. I acknowledge and understand that there are certain risks involved in participating in day care and in owning, training, caring for, handling and being in the presence of dogs, including but not limited to injuries to people, property and animals resulting from dog fights, dog bites to humans or other dogs and the transmission of disease.
  • In case of emergency or for the use of the Pick Up/Collection services, I recognise the risks of injury that accompany said transport and acknowledge that this Agreement is being relied upon by this Facility to permit transportation of my dog to and from the Facility or any other necessary location. I accept any and all conditions, rules and regulations promulgated by this Facility associated with the activities, use of the facilities and transport, and hereby agree to comply with them.
  • Dogs not regularly exposed to the level of activity at the Facility may feel the discomfort of sore muscles, sore joints and fatigue, and dogs not regularly exposed to outside activity or play on hard surfaces may experience sore paws, blisters, bruises or abrasions on the feet.
  • Dogs not regularly socialised do not necessarily know how to behave politely with other dogs. These dogs are at higher risk of incidents including, but not limited to, bites, fights, fear aggression, object guarding, behaviour problems and/or acting out. All dogs admitted to the Facility will, however, have been fully assessed before admittance.
  • Dogs at play during the regular day care get dirty. Dogs with longer hair can get matted from the level of activity at day care. Excessively long toenails may cause injury. I will be notified if my dog’s nails are too long.
  • Water is available at all times; however, my dog may still be thirsty after day care. I will be aware of their water intake as excessive amounts may cause an upset stomach or other problems.
  • Any behaviour deemed dangerous or inappropriate by Facility personnel may result in dismissal of my dog(s) from the Centre.
  • I must pay for all services at the time they are rendered. I understand any unpaid fees by me will be sent to collections, and I will be responsible for all collections and legal fees incurred by such actions taken.
  • In admitting my dog(s) into the Facility, the Facility has relied on my representation that my dog(s) is/are in good health, has/have not been ill with any communicable disease within the last 30 days and has/have not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog.

  • I understand that Facility staff give all pets involved in any type of incident a cursory examination; however, the Facility’s staff are not trained veterinarians and will not be liable for the location, treatment or diagnosis of any injuries incurred on the Facility’s premises.
  • Whilst at the Facility I grant the Facility and/or its agent’s full power of decision concerning the care and wellbeing of my dog(s). Should any medical emergency arise, it is agreed that the Facility or its selected agents can and will make any needed decision concerning veterinary treatment, and I will be responsible for reimbursing all such costs to the Facility.
  • Photographs, videotape or digital recordings are taken of the Facility, dogs, customers and staff on a regular basis for, among other things, use in advertising by TweedDogs. I acknowledge that all such images (electronic, negatives and positives), together with prints and the copyrights therein, are the property of TweedDogs. I give TweedDogs and persons authorised by TweedDogs my consent, permission and authorisation, without compensation to me, to use, reproduce and alter the images, in print or electronic format (including on the internet), either alone or in combination with other images, text and graphics. I waive my right to approve the finished photograph, advertising copy, print material or electronic files that may be used in conjunction with the images. I represent that I am at least 18 years of age and acknowledge that the rights granted in this paragraph are irrevocable.
